Recipes for Brain Health

These recipes generally align with a heart healthy diet, using lots of vegetables, fruits and whole grains, and choosing unsaturated fats over saturated fats. Some tips for this include:

  • Consume plenty of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, legumes and nuts
  • Use herbs and spices instead of salt
  • Swap butter and margarine for olive oil and canola oil
  • Include some poultry and fish but limited red meat
  • Use low fat dairy
  • Limit saturated and trans fats and sweetened food and drinks
