Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC)
We’ve had lots of recent successes with a variety of ISLAND data being accepted for presentation at the world’s largest dementia conference, Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC), to be held this year in Toronto, Canada:
  • Dr Eddy Roccati et al., Using real world data to visualize longitudinal modifiable dementia risk factors in the community through an online interactive map.
  • Dr James Brady et al., Associations between Social Engagement, Loneliness, Cognition, and the Individual Characteristics of Community-Dwelling Older Adults. Dr Brady was awarded the Lead ISTAART Ambassador role for AAIC 2025.
  • Getachew  Yideg Yitbarek et al., Investigating the contribution of tongue strength measurement in determining pre-clinical Alzheimer’s disease pathology in older adults
  • Dr Eddy Roccati, Physical activity and blood-based biomarkers of neurodegeneration in community dwelling Australians from ISLAND. Dr Roccati was awarded an AAIC Conference Fellowship to support his travel.
