Liz (pictured left) is one of the dedicated volunteers who works with us at the Wicking Dementia Centre. With a background in accounting, Liz brings a fantastic eye for detail and has supported the team by assembling hundreds of biospecimen collection packs, entering data and transcribing videos. She volunteers weekly and is truly a valued member of the team.

We would also like to recognise the important contributions of ISLAND’s Community Advisory Group. This committed group of volunteers plays a vital role in ensuring our research and engagement activities remain relevant, inclusive, and meaningful for the wider community.

In February, members of the group met in person, with those able to attend also enjoying a guided tour of Wicking’s laboratories. It was a wonderful opportunity for members to connect with one another, meet researchers, and gain insight into the work happening behind the scenes.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone mentioned here, and to all of our volunteers. Your time, expertise, and passion enrich the ISLAND Project and make our work possible.
